DESCRIPTION:A creative and entertaining exploration of storytelling and story making in it’s many shapes and forms.\n\n\nWorkshop Overview:- \n Storytelling is a significant part of our lives\, from chance conversations in different settings\, reading books\, watching a Show on stage or screen\, our own family’s or personal life stories and events\, news or documentaries etc. it’s a way to share and learn ideas\, values and practices. Stories bring people together and create connections. \nStories can take many shapes and forms too and during the session we’ll explore various vehicles and styles. \nAbout Chris North:- \nChris trained in drama and has worked in different roles including teacher and social worker in child health. He now runs his own company\, ‘Freedom Through Fun’ which includes storytelling and story making. \nMost recently he’s been the storyteller at the Queen Bee Festival Arundel; throughout the launch of the large willow figure of Ascarpe the Giant at Q.E.11 Country Park; weekly stories for families at The Chapel Graylingwell and is the Christmas storyteller at The Guildhall Chichester on December 10th. \nHe’s passionate about the importance of being creative and having some fun in our lives.

Good evening!\nSeven performers\, giving Seven performances\, each of Seven minutes’ duration.\nSet your clock\, save the date\, book a ticket\, get your coat\, grab a drink\, take a seat.\nThis is Seven Up.\n\n\nWords Out Loud is excited to present a new\, regular\, Performance Event in Chichester called Seven Up. \nHosted by Ken Jones \nThis new show is downstairs at Franco Manca restaurant in Chichester from 7:00pm. to 10:00pm. \nThe cabaret style show features Seven performers\, \ngiving Seven performances \neach of Seven minutes’ duration. \nPerformances will span the whole range of Performance Art including Music\, Dance\, Drama\, Comedy\, Improv\, Spoken Word and more. \nThere will be breaks in between each performance and time to mingle\, socialise and connect. \nFranco Manca will have their menu of Pasta\, Pizza and Grilled food available for ordering and their bar will be open. \nTickets cost £10 and are available here on Eventbrite and can also be purchased on the door.

DESCRIPTION:Reconnect with nature and discover your wild self. An experiential workshop with Tina Cockett\n\n\nWild Moves Wild Words is an experiential workshop to reconnect with Nature and our spontaneous\, wild\, expressive self.  \nThrough movement\, imagination and the senses we will deepen our encounter with Nature both indoors and outside. Using images\, embodiment\, sounds and words we will explore how this experience can be expressed in more intuitive\, free flowing ways both individually and as group.  \nThis workshop offers a safe\, supportive and non judgemental space to revitalise your creativity and discover where your wild resides.Please wear loose comfortable clothing to move int and bring a drink plus pen and notebook. Other materials will be provided. We will be working in the studio and outside in the park\, so it is advisable to bring suitable shoes and waterproofs to wear/sit on if it is wet. Participants are invited to bring an object\, image or words which represent the ‘wild’ for them. \nBook early as spaces are limited to 8 participants. \nTina Cockett has a background in Laban Art of Movement\, Community Arts and Movement Psychotherapy. An experienced creative movement facilitator\, she draws on the Tampala Life Art Process and her deep connection with the land of West Sussex in her work.

Open-Mic starts at 6:30pm. \nJoin us for our regular in-person Open-Mic event downstairs at Franco Manca in Chichester\, West Sussex. We meet on the 1st Wednesday of every month. The event is free to attend and open to anyone\, but a £3.00 donation made on the door would be very much appreciated. \nCome along and read some of your own poetry\, a published poem or even read some prose. Franco Manca serve teas\, coffees and soft drinks as well as beers\, wines\, spirits\, cocktails\, pizza\, pasta\, salads and other delicious food. \nIt doesn’t matter if this is the first piece you have written or whether you are a seasoned pro\, you will find a warm and supportive welcome as you share your work with us out loud. \nAnd if reading out loud is not for you\, please do come along and enjoy the atmosphere and listen to the readings.
